The highly-anticipated highlight of the summer jumps season, the Betway Summer Plate Raceday, takes centre stage at Market Rasen on Saturday and 12-times champion trainer, Paul Nicholls, returns to the Lincolnshire venue with two well-fancied contenders for top racehorse syndicators Old Gold Racing.

The competitive seven-race card is headlined by the listed Betway Summer Plate Handicap Chase, and every race will be shown live on Racing TV.

Nicholls will saddle Old Gold Racing’s prodigy Darling Maltaix in the 2m5f contest. Heading to the track with a first time-out seasonal win already under his girth, his Newton Abbot victory is predicted to have put him spot on for this more prestigious contest.
