Frankie Dettori teams up with Aidan Obrien for St Legers Glory . Andrew Nelis racing

Frankie Dettori will once again be teaming up with Aidan O’Brien in his bid for a seventh victory in the Cazoo St Leger. The popular Italian and the master of Ballydoyle have combined to win two British Classics this season, with Mother Earth landing the 1000 Guineas at Newmarket and Snowfall streaking clear of her rivals in the Cazoo Oaks at Epsom. It is 16 years since the O’Brien-Dettori axis claimed St Leger glory with Scorpion, while the rider has also landed the Doncaster showpiece aboard Classic Cliche (1995), Shantou (1996), Sixties Icon (2006), Conduit (2008) and Logician (2019). O’Brien, who also has six Leger victories on his CV, has a six-strong team for Saturday’s renewal – with High Definition supplemented to join stablemates Carlisle Bay, Interpretation, King Of The Castle, Sir Lucan and The Mediterranean in the Town Moor showpiece. Dettori expects to learn which horse he will be riding later in the week.                 ...

Love is all around and right favourite for the Arc Andrew Nelis racing

Love is a deserved favourite for the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe in the view of Frankie Dettori following her exploits this season. Victories in the 1000 Guineas, Oaks and Yorkshire Oaks have seen Aidan O'Brien's filly usurp Enable at the head of the market for the European middle-distance championship - and Dettori is fully aware of the threat she poses to the John Gosden-trained mare's bid for an unprecedented third victory in the race. The Italian is back in Britain and undergoing a period of quarantine after a brief sojourn in France, where he bagged two Group Ones courtesy of Palace Pier and Campanelle and a Group Two with Mishriff....                     Andrew Nelis Racing

Drawing support for love in the Darley Yorkshire Oaks Andrew Nelis racing

Dual Classic heroine Love is the star attraction among eight contenders for the Darley Yorkshire Oaks. Following a dominant victory in the 1000 Guineas at Newmarket, Aidan O’Brien’s filly was even more impressive when stepped up to a mile and a half for the Oaks at Epsom. The daughter of Galileo is challenging the brilliant Enable for favouritism for the Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe at ParisLongchamp in early October, and will be widely expected to enhance those claims at York next week. O’Brien has also entered his multiple Group One winner Magical, as well as Epsom runner-up Ennistymon. John Gosden decided against bidding for a third Yorkshire Oaks victory with Enable – but the Clarehaven maestro could instead call upon Frankly Darling, winner of the Ribblesdale Stakes at Royal Ascot before finishing third behind Love at Epsom, and recent York winner Franconia. Sir Mark Prescott’s Alpinista could be set for a swift step up in class after winning the Listed Upavon Fillies’ Sta...

Epsom Derby meeting to look at new sponsorship Andrew Nelis racing

The  Derby  Festival at Epsom is open to a new lead sponsor and naming partner from 2021 after the Jockey Club and Investec agreed to end their 12-year partnership. As well as the Derby itself, sponsorship of the Oaks and the Coronation Cup is up for grabs, with the latter event set to return to Epsom in 2021 having been moved to Newmarket this year due to the coronavirus pandemic. In normal years, the Derby Festival is usually run over two days, with Derby day taking place on the first Saturday in June. This year the meeting was condensed to one afternoon on July 4 and successfully delivered behind closed doors..                        Andrew Nelis Racing .

Aidan Obrien targets the Yorkshire Oaks for Love Andrew Nelis Racing

Outstanding filly Love will sidestep this weekend’s Juddmonte Irish Oaks and will instead be aimed at next month's Darley Yorkshire Oaks, trainer Aidan O'Brien revealed on Monday. A brilliant winner of the Qipco 1,000 Guineas and Investec Oaks, Love is as short as 7-2 favourite with some firms for the Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe in October, which O’Brien confirmed was the daughter of Galileo's long-term target.  He said: “Love doesn't run this weekend. She is perfect. What we are thinking at the moment is that she is probably going to go straight to York for the Yorkshire Oaks, and then on to the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe after that.                         Andrew Nelis racing

Double Love for O'Brien and Ryan Moore Oaks classic Andrew Nelis

Love added another Classic to her CV as she galloped all over her rivals in the Investec Oaks at Epsom. Winner of the 1000 Guineas at Newmarket last month, the Aidan O'Brien-trained filly made a seamless step up to 12 furlongs as she cruised home by nine lengths in the hands of Ryan Moore. Stablemate Passion and Tiempo Vuela tried to set the early pace, but they were ignored by the main players, with Moore settling the 11-10 favourite in fifth and Frankie Dettori tracking him on main market rival Frankly Darling.                    Andrew Nelis Racing

Franklyn Darlings Owner Talks about his fillies chances in Oaks Andrew Nelis

Owner Anthony Oppenheimer believes the fact no spectators will be at Epsom on Saturday for the Investec Oaks could boost the chances of his filly Frankly Darling. The daughter of Frankel has come a long way in a short space of time, as she was still a maiden when racing resumed on June 1. She was the undoubted star in action when racing returned at Newcastle, with the John Gosden-trained filly bolting up and subsequently going on to land the Ribblesdale Stakes at Royal Ascot. That race would normally come after the Oaks, but in this mixed up season it was seen as a trial for Epsom.                        Andrew Nelis racing

Love and Franklyn Darling locked together at the top of the Oaks market Andrew Nelis

Market leaders Love and Frankly Darling head a field of eight for the Investec Oaks at Epsom on Saturday. Love has been the ante-post favourite since her convincing victory in the Qipco 1000 Guineas and she now bids to become the first filly since Minding in 2016 to win both Classics. Her trainer Aidan O'Brien also saddles Ennistymon and Passion as he seeks a seventh Oaks success.                       Andrew Nelis Racing

Peter bullish on Bahrani stars chances in Oaks

Peter Chapple-Hyam feels Bahrani Star can outrun her odds in the Investec Oaks on Saturday. The Newmarket handler has won the Derby twice, with Dr Devious and Authorized, but has still to win the fillies' Classic. The daughter of Sea The Stars, owned by Phoenix Thoroughbreds, finished fourth of 11 in the Ribblesdale at Royal Ascot when sent off at 100-1.               Andrew Nelis Racing

Peaceful will head to France rather than the Oaks Andrew Nelis

Peaceful is likely to head for Sunday's Prix de Diane at Chantilly, with Love heading for Saturday's Investec Oaks at Epsom, as Aidan O'Brien looks to keep his star fillies apart. Love won the 1000 Guineas at Newmarket in fine style, while Peaceful romped away with the Irish equivalent at the Curragh. Both were entered for Epsom, but it now seems likely only one will run.                       Andrew Nelis racing

Derby fever maybe be behind closed doors , but it will be still a great renewal Andrew Nelis

The build-up to the 241st running of the Investec Derby has been one quite like never before. The coronavirus pandemic led to original entries, dating back to the end of 2018 when 356 yearling were entered, being scrapped, while traditional key trials such as the Dante and Chester Vase have not taken place. Sandown’s Classic Trial was run, but at Kempton, while Lingfield’s Derby Trial also survived, but with runners from Ireland and further afield barred from taking part. Races at Royal Ascot, usually staged a fortnight or so after the Derby, took place a fortnight before, presenting themselves as unusual stepping stones towards potential Classic stardom. The Irish Derby took place over the weekend, the first time it had been staged before its Epsom counterpart, and on the big day itself jockeys will be able to warm-up by riding in the Investec Oaks. It will be the first time the Oaks and Derby have been run on the same day, and possibly the first time two British Classics h...

Love and Frankling Darling stand there ground for the Oaks five day stage Andrew Nelis

Love and Frankly Darling remain on course to clash in Saturday's Investec Oaks for which there were 11 five-day entries. The former underlined her Group One credentials by landing the QIPCO 1000 Guineas at Newmarket on her reappearance for Aidan O'Brien and could be joined in the line-up by stablemates Ennistymon, Passion and Peaceful. Frankly Darling was an impressive winner of the Ribblesdale Stakes at Royal Ascot and could have the assistance of a pacemaker in Tiempo Vuela. Newbury maiden winner Golden Wand and Pretty Polly runner-up Queen Daenerys are in line to represent Roger Varian, Godolphin rely on Saeed bin Suroor's Dubai Love and Bharani Star and Oriental Mystique complete the possible field.                            Andrew Nelis Racing
