Jockey Tom Marquand was fined AU$2,000 (just over £1,000) for breaking Australia's coronavirus protocols by embracing a stablehand after his win on Addeybb on Saturday.
Marquand was celebrating Grade 1 victory on William Haggas' horse in the Queen Elizabeth Stakes at Royal Randwick when he embraced stablehand Safid Alam, who was fined $500 (around £250).
Stewards at the Sydney track were forced to meet after the incident to decide whether to allow Marquand to continue riding as he had breached strict social distancing regulations.
