Native River winner of the Gold cup in 2018 has been ruled out of the festival due to injury. Colin Tizzard 10yr old would have attempted to do what Kauto star done in 2009 , win the Gold cup back after winning in 2007 . He had been in Good form winning the Denman chase most recently at Newbury . Joe Tizzard Colin's Son a assistant to his dad released the news this morning, saying he sustained a suspenseful tendon injury , which will sadly rule him out for the entire season. We wish Colin and all the best of luck and hope to see this great horse back racing soon
