Apples jade mares hurdle bound  Andrew  Nelis Racing. Gordon Elliot’s  Mare apples Jade seems now the biggest hint yet she’s heading for the mares Hurdle . She will attempt to regain her crown she won back in 2017 .having been in rude health this season , they may be taking the most easiest route for at this years Cheltenham festival . Quickgrabim ruled out of Cheltenham festival due to stress fracture   Andrew Nelis Racing Willie Mullins quickgabim has been ruled out of the festival due to a stress fracture . The seven year old most recently scored in the royal bond novice Hurdle at Fairyhouse . He was one of the shortListed  novices for Irish hopes in day on of the festival March .  Hopefully we will see this young star back in time for the punchestown festival .

Apples jade heads a field of 13 runners for the  Irish champion Hurdle  in leopardstown on February   3rd this mare has already been very impressive. In disposing of rivals. Twice. this season already . Willie  Mullins trio of faugheen Laurina and Sharjah are also entered , although it’s been quoted that Laurina may head straight to the festival . Apples Jade is currently off a rating at 162 OR best 163 , with that in mind , still a improving. 7yr old with a 7lb mares allowance that would take her to 170 , this leaves her prime for the. Stayers Hurdle in Mach which would suit her nicely and have her right in there . Last years winner Penhill at a OR of 165 , with Apples jade still improving and a 7lb pull. She ticks all the boxes.               Min heads up Ryanair chase Cheltenham 2019                                               By Andrew Nelis   Willie Mullins charge min heads up a field of 13 at this stage of the standings in the Ryanair chase Cheltenham. The 8yr old has run at the festival twice before finishing second to the champion chaser Altior . What strikes me about min is he reminds me of a sizing John who also was playing second fiddle to the powerful douvan , before being stepped up in trip  and go on to win a gold cup  . Min is a worthy favourite were we are now , without Altior  we could have been looking at a festival  winners two years on the trot . Current title holder Altior is one of 22 entries in the Betway Queen Mother Champion Chase at Cheltenham on March 13. While last season was all a bit of a rush for Nicky Henderson’s stable star, this term has gone according to plan with a victory over Un De Sceaux in the Tingle Creek and a cruise to another success in the Desert Orchid Chase. Unbeaten in 16 outings over obstacles, Altior is looking to provide Henderson with a sixth win in the race – which would take him level with current record holder Tom Dreaper. Of the 22, a total of 10 are trained in Ireland – with Willie Mullins responsible for last year’s runner-up Min, previous Festival winner Un De Sceaux, last year’s Arkle winner Footpad and Great Field. Fox Norton, Politologue, Simply Ned, Saint Calvados, Sceau Royal and Ozzie The Oscar are among the rest. Also entered is Phil Kirby’s mare Lady Buttons, who has improved in leaps and bounds this season – culminating with an easy victory at Doncaster last time out.

The french raider was so impressive in his win at the weekend , he headed the  JLT novice chase market , now the market has been blown wide open after this news  .                 Samcro out of Cheltenham festival                                             By Andrew Nelis  The news of samcro missing the Cheltenham festival. Has not come as no shock. Last season we seen a horse take everything by storm ,winning every race in Ireland before taking the Neptune by such ease at the festival .  Samcro as I was present that day in the grandstand , watched as he steamrolled up that famous hill at the Cotswold   .This season. I like many felt he was going over the bigger obstacles ,as that’s what he was bought for , things at the start of the season never seemed to take off for him nor went to plan ,  it has now been confirmed he has been suffering from a lung infection and will be on antibiotics for ten days .                 Ballymore Novice Hurdle Cheltenham 2019                                                By Andrew Nelis   Recently has seen some trials for the 2019 novice hurdle  at the festival , that has stood out as of now is the gigginstown charge. Battleoverdoyen 2/2 in Ireland and its headed at the top of the ballymore market. At. 9/2 , many are thinking is this a supreme horse or maybe taking a step up in trip at 2mile 5 hmm. Now imho he will relish the step up, clearly it was evident in his trial at the weekend were he finished his race. At the trip stated .  I give Battleoverdoyen the nod as the one to shine at the festival at this stage. For the ballymore
